SAND STORIES

9/16   My SAND STORY photographs capture these incredible patterns and images made by nature. As the outgoing tide slowly recedes over the sand, patterns and images are sometimes left behind. At times the patterns are perfectly symmetrical that cover a large stretch of sand that fade into infinity. The symmetrical patterns can become so many different things when you look at them. Sometimes distinctive figurines or faces appear as if created by an invisible genius sculptor. MYSTIC WITH ROSE is an amazing example of this, a mystical robed being drifting across the sand, the drapery and details of the ‘fabric’ is exquisite. All of these creations disappear very fast as the sand dries out, and they are gone forever. I play with the color in post, but I never ‘illustrate’ or add to the ‘organic art’.
